There are several things that are required for making the environment greener and cleaner also.

Rejecting the use of throwaway materials, purchasing local produce to shorten the supply chain, sticking to a meat-free diet and looking for ways to re-use green waste are but some of these things. Almost everyone could do all of those things by merely deciding to do them. Taking the necessary steps to save water and power can restore balance to the environment. The most important element causing the ecological fix we’re in is the large amounts of CO2 gas that have been spewed into the atmosphere. The present environmental crisis is being added to by all of the modern equipment, from manufacturing plants, and automobiles to large farms, with all of their modern machinery.

People taking to the streets over high food prices and dearths in supply, weather condition extremes not experienced for many decades, water being spoken of as the next oil and many recent natural disasters are all caused by global warming. All the signs point to a declining situation, requiring aggressive intervention to check the decay. One of the most important things for today is to convince individuals to live green. The focus needs to be on initiating the process, getting more and more folks started on the green path, with easy steps, which will build the needed momentum. It is imperative for the media to be involved in swaying the masses of how important it is to go green.

If individuals don’t respond fittingly, it may well be that we find that we have run out of options. Without considerably raising our environmental awareness, the decline towards eventual ruin seems unavoidable. The very survival of our planet certainly depends on people accepting responsibility for their individual roles in the overall effort to resolve the problem. Unless there is a radical divergence from the present ways of mankind, there is no hope for the succeeding generation.
