Colleges in Westchester are a great option for students who plan to stay local. Students who live in Westchester have an advantage because there are plenty of schools to choose from. Plus, tuition is cheaper when you attend school in-state.
Students these days are doing everything to avoid that extra $40,000 of debt. So, staying local seems like a smart choice. You can earn your Associate’s Degree at a community college and then go on to get your Bachelor’s Degree somewhere else. This way, you won’t pay much for community college and can save your money for the latter two years.
At colleges in Westchester, you can study whatever your heart desires. If you have a passion, there is a major for it. From graphic design to engineering, students study it all.
Most local schools only offer Associate’s Degrees. That is an important fact to know. Some problems could arise when it is time to transfer to a four-year university.
