Companies That Are Experts At Using Twitter For Business
Tons of companies are on Twitter, but not all of them are using it to its maximum potential. Using Twitter for business is not a cut and dry thing, some companies may be better off with one approach while other companies will take a different approach. Here are a few companies that “get” Twitter and are geniuses at using Twitter for business:
Dell- Believe it or not, Dell has an excellent presence on Twitter. They’ve created four different Twitter profiles that are used for different purposes. One for sales, one for support, one for corporate, and one for community. This is a forward thinking idea that really allows you to hone in on the different aspects of your company and doesn’t lead to one be-all Twitter that becomes a complicated mess. Dell is using Twitter for its business in the best way possible.
JetBlue- JetBlue provides customer support over Twitter and does so with true transparency. You will always know the name of the employee that is currently in charge of the Twitter page and you feel like the company is catering to you personally. Using Twitter to solve a customer’s problems is always a good idea and will help keep the customer thinking positively about your company.
Whole Foods Market- When using Twitter for business purposes the goal should always be to foster a relationship with your customers. This is something that Whole Foods does exceptionally well. They ask their followers what books they like to read and what movies they like to watch. They will also recommend some podcasts that they find interesting to their followers. Of course, they use the good will they’ve built up to advertise upcoming events in their stores. Whole Foods knows how to leverage Twitter for business and get the most out of it.
These are just three companies and the approach they took to their Twitter accounts. Twitter for business is not a mathematical formula. There is no exact way to do it correctly. Try different things and see what sticks. When it is working you’ll know.
