A World Ventures meeting is probably happening near you. A quick internet search shows there are meetings happening throughout the US. Many people are excited about getting the word out about this company.

World Ventures sells two products. The first, Dream Trips, allows members to vacation for discounted rates. The second, the LTC package, lets buyers become Leisure Travel Consultants, who are allowed to sell travel packages through Rovia, World Ventures’ exclusive travel provider.

A World Ventures meeting is a chance for LTCs to show what the company is about, and sign up people for Dream Trips, and to become LTCs themselves, if they wish to do so. The income potential of the company is promoted heavily, encouraging people to join and get their piece of the $8 trillion worldwide travel industry.

While the travel industry is immense, it is also extremely price sensitive, and difficult to break into. A personalized website and some video tutorials is all World Ventures gives its members. Instead of learning marketing techniques like driving traffic to a website, they are encouraged to show the sites to family and coworkers. It’s no suprise that many people drop out of the program.

The most successful LTCs are the ones putting on the seminars. This is based on traditional network marketing tactics. No real emphasis is put into the internet marketing aspects of the program. LTCs would be better off taking a marketing training course from a third party.

Today individuals can learn marketing over the internet, from real marketing experts. Students can work the classes around a job, or around taking care of the kids. Most important, you won’t have to try to get everyone you know to visit your silly travel site. You’ll learn how to market your website to everyone surfing the web.

Once you learn how to be a successful marketer, you will never be limited to one company. You will be able to pick and choose what you want to promote. You can even promote your own business if you want. There are many more ways to get paid with marketing than just MLM.

I personally think you should stay away from the World Ventures meeting, and instead focus on learning the fundamentals of marketing. Then you will be able to pick and choose from thousands of products to sell, instead of being stuck with MLM.
