Cheap, effective and easy-to-use, the light bulb has proved a monstrous success. It is still the most popular method of bringing light indoors and extending the day after sundown. But it is not very efficient.
Incandescent bulbs are made in a wide range of sizes and voltages, from 1.5 volts to about 300 volts. They require no external regulating equipment and have a low manufacturing cost.
And thus this incandescent lamp is used in various places like in homes and for commercial purposes, for portable lighting such as table lamps, for car headlamps and electric flashlights and also for designing and marketing lighting.
